This commitment applies to everyone-- co-workers, supervisors, customers, vendors, visitors and others that we may come in contact with as part of our job. This can also apply to off-site events and social gatherings.
This training is designed to ensure that everyone understands what is expected in order to create and sustain the respectful and inclusive environment that is integral to MAPA’s business plan and values. Simply put, you cannot afford to not know how to deal with these challenges and what to do to meet your responsibilities as an employee, supervisor or manager.
Attend this important training and learn:
- The difference between annoying behavior, bullying and unlawful harassment
- Surprising examples of verbal, physical, and written behaviors that can unintentionally meet the definition of harassment
- Why impact matters more than intent
- The higher standard supervisors and managers must meet
- What you must do if you observe or experience harassing behaviors
- The limited options for corrective action in harassment situations
- Common pitfalls experienced by organizations such as ours
- How to be sure your behavior contributes to harassment/discrimination free workplace and business environment.
The morning workshop is for everyone. It begins with an engaging discussion about the requirements affecting the participating firms. Case-studies based upon real- world workplace situations, will be used to illustrate common pitfalls and what to do (and not do). Each participant will understand their role and responsibility for supporting their company’s efforts to maintain a harassment and discrimination free environment.
